What I got working for to day and what I been working on

Good Morning,

As I always say whats good about a morning? Then I answer myself only thing good about a morning is if you sleep right thru it. But the mum called the cell phone and so Elton John's tiny dancer woke me up (that's my ring tone)

Anyway its a good day ahead. I am going to run to the consignment shop ... alright its a true blue thrift shop where all clothes are a dollar. YES 1! dollar and I am going to find some fat jeans. Then I am going to run to the dollar store (see the running theme so far LOL) and buy some popcorn bags and buckets and white daisies and if I have any money left over by some of that fancy black and white yarn they have.

I am now washing a ton of skinny jeans I bought from recent trips to that store. They are to be turned into bum bags will eventually find its way into my shop! That is if I can figure it out. I don't think it will be that hard. I have lots of resources and lots of ideas. Now if I could only find a $20 in one of those pockets!

What I got cooking for craft projects (I don't know why but I really hate that word craft)

  • A ribbon purse (still have to put the beads on it)
  • A Messenger bag that turned into a camera bag (I have to line it and put the zipper in it)
  • 3 mini purses, I have to line and put beaded handles on
  • an animal print wreath, Its 1/4 done.
  • The cotton candy granny square blanket

What I do have finished is a scarf (which I wont put up for sale till the weather begins to turn a little colder) and a purty knitted purse. After my haunts all over Lexington (which is my dogs name too) I will take pictures! Maybe LOL.

Well now its good afternoon,

Well I am back from my haunts. It started out not to be such a good treasure hunt. The first thrift store did not have any fat jeans so I bought some loose some weight jeans to motivate somebody. I also bought two shirts to make purses. I was tempted to buy a couple of sweaters but held off.

Then I went to the flea market which really was not on the agenda of todoos, but it was on the way and I wanted to see if Nancy was there. She was not, but the had the cutest doxies. I wanted everyone of them! I went home with none. I take that back they don't have the cutest doxies, the cutest doxie is rubbing his back on the carpet and trying to get under the area rug... Lifts eye brow at that one! Then I went to walmart and returned that journal. got a couple of the pop corn boxes, I want more of them but I was on a budget. They are more like popcorn tubs shaped in an old timey way. I got six balls of that fancy yarn. I got two frames that are flat that I will staple screening on and make paper with. They have a word for what the screen is called (if anybody is interested in the paper making process I have a couple books on sale on how to do it at half.com) I bought one foam core board for the purse I will eventually make.

This purse, its going to be something else. I been collecting pieces for it for a while. I saw it on Crafts Coast to Coast. So far I got the Gesso, paint and paint brushes. Today I got the fabric and the foam board and the pattern (see below). Next I will need the interfacing. Yeah know I forgot what the handle was made out of. I need to re-watch that episode!

Then I went to the other thrift store. Here is where I scored. Four pair of jeans, fat jeans! I also found a purse that would be perfect to cut up and make a pattern out of. Yeah I am talking about the purse up above. Imagine four pairs of jeans for four bucks. That's a week worth of clothes! I can wear jeans at my work.

Well now I gotta go tidy up house and maybe take some pictures. For ebay and for blogger.com
