The Pink Scarf Part II

Well I finished the pink scarf.. and I unraveled the pink scarf. While I was watching American Idol season finale (sp???) Guess who won???? Ah as if that isnt common knowledge by now. I knew who won when I was watching it. I love DVR!
Anyway, I did not like it. I will be using a different needle size. A larger needle and I will be knitting not purl knit. It curled. I knew that it would. I am a big dummy.

I also started a camera bag but then I got the yuckies.

agggh copy and paste does work!

all that work wasted.

Anywhoo I had the yuckies all week.

Lessons from a five year old

Yes a five year old has a lot to teach you.
For instance... I would of never have known that my sister lied and said she put the dogs upstairs because it was raining. (Okies I suspected she lied on that one, because my sister doesnt do anything with out a reason and there was only one reason why she would be helpful enough to put my dogs upstairs and rain is not one of them) My nephew suggested that I put the big dogs upstairs so he could jump on the trampoline (AHA!)

My other sister would never have known that Mr. Potato Head poops cherios at Aunt Karen's house (They do.. its true. Ask my nephew!)

Also it is best just to take matters into your own hands and climb upon the tires at tire kingdom and declare yourselve King of the Tires.

And the most important lesson.. the one that learned about the poopin mr potato head has tried to hammer into my thick head.
My nephew did something wonderfully cute (probably the tire thing cause we were at the tire store)
I says to him you know you are my favorist nephew in the world (my sister says I am not allowed to say that any more because I got that baby nephew now)
and this is where the lesson was taught
My nephew says to me
You are my favortist Aunt Karen in the world!

So the lessons were learned.

Tire Kingdom

a week ago Sunday I met my aunt at tire kingdom she was getting her tires aligned and she wanted me to pick her up and I was to take her to her house so her husband could look at my brakes. . I had my nephew with me, we were just hanging out. my aunt decided i needed tires so bad she was going to let me borrow tire money (thank you ab) Remember we are at tire kingdom! My nephew climbs up on a display of tires stacked up and announces he is the king of the tires!

I have been robbed

I was driving around with the top down on my convertible (note add pictures) I stopped at the library. Got back in the car and went to walmart. I went to pick up the drink (to toss it) I had left in my car. SOMEBODY STOLE MY STRAW! My mother thought I was nuts, but she was the one that said anybody will steal anything!

After 9 years

I have lived in this one particular house for 9 years. I have spelled the street I live on with out an s for those 9 years. My sister went to buy a lap top and the clerk asked her to proof her personal information. She said our street has an s on the end. I laughed and laughed and laughed at her and said no it does not. I drove past the street sign. The street sign spells it with an S. Hangs head down real low in embarressment.

rainbow yarn and journals

I said to myself. Karen $10. That is your limit at the dollar store. $16.05 is what the receipt said and I still did not get all I wanted. The dollar store did not have all the yarn I wanted nor did they have the paint brushes. What they did have was these phonebooks/journals. They were in binders and PERFECT to cover in fabric. So I bought quite a few and going to cover them and going to sell them and become rich!

I really wish the copy and paste would work but it does not. Well bother as pooh bear says.

Jesus

I saw Jesus today. He was in the back of a pickup truck. He was looking towards the sky praying to the heavens.

The pink scarf

I have started another knitting project. No I have not finished the wreath, the purses, the blanket. But oh I love to start things, I just not so keen on finishing things! Anyway the dollar tree has been GOOD! They have this lovely pink yarn which I am knitting into a scarf for Heather. It is nice and fuzzy. I was going to do the fringe all in clear seed beads but gave up on the idea. The scarf is not classy enough, but that’s not a bad thing. I think if it was loosely knitted, not so tight, not so soft. I think I will use the same dollar tree yarn and string some of the beads on them, not all but some. I want some of the purple and some of the rainbow. I loved the rainbow. I had ran out and went to AC Moore and bought some more with out knowing its name and ended up with carnival. It was not the same. Rainbow is more blue carnival is more of a garish pink. Then they have some black and silver. I made a scarf out of that stuff (yes I actually finished that one!) Might get some more of that too. I was going to go today but my mum needs me to drive her to the car place to pick up her car.

I started my new job yesterday. The lady is much nicer then my last place. She said I can knit or crochet. I asked her if I looked like a knitter or a crotchetier. She laughed. I was kidding when I asked her. I wonder if lap top would be ok. Maybe I will ask her tonight.
